Getting children to brush their teeth and promoting good oral health with them can be something of a nightmare. We have tried everything, from games to novelty brushes and Max has always seen brushing his teeth as a chore. So when Foreo asked if Max wanted to try their Issa Mini 2 brush, I thought that it would be a great opportunity to try something different!
Perfect for children aged 5+, this toothbrush is aimed to bring the fun back into brushing with its unique style and design. Made from silicone with super soft bristles and using a sonic pulse power, this electric toothbrush is fantastic for kids as there isn't any risk of over brushing or using too much pressure.
Max is the first to admit that he can be a bit over eager when it comes to brushing. I think that kids normally think the harder they brush, they less time it will take. Unfortunately, too much pressure whilst brushing can lead to gum problems in the future. Luckily the Foreo Issa Mini 2 has enabled him to brush his teeth in a far more gentler way!
One thing that I really love about this toothbrush is the glee and glum faces by the on and off switch. When you have brushed for two minutes, you get a smiley face pop up on the brush to let you know you are done. Max is absolutely obsessed with getting the smiley face before he leaves for the day! On the other hand when it hasn't been used for 12 hours, a sad face will appear to remind you that it needs to be used. A fantastic visual, especially when Max sometimes tries to get away with not brushing!
We have had electric toothbrushes in the past and to be honest, charging them is a complete faff and one reason why I just give up and buy him a new one. Luckily the Foreo Issa Mini 2 cones with a charge cycle of 265 days. Yes, you read that right. You don't need to charge the toothbrush for 265 days which for me as a mum that forgets these things, is perfect! With a USB charger, you don't have to worry about adaptors or bulky chargers.
The Foreo Issa Mini 2 comes in 4 fantastic and bright colours to make brushing more appealing. Priced at £99, it's definitely at the high end for a child's toothbrush, but it's something that can last for years to come and is a fantastic investment. We honestly love this brush and it's given Max a fun way to keep his teeth cleaned.
