The Mum Tag

I was tagged by the wonderful Bex over at Futures to take part in the mum tag. I always forget to do these but thought I might as well jump on the blogging bandwagon as I am actually a mum!

1. Are you a Stay at Home Mum, or a Working Mum?
I work, not full time but at Waterstones part time. I am looking for a full time job. If Scott get's one first then I will be a stay at home mum.

2. Would you have it any other way?
Apart from the fact I would love to get a better wage coming into the home? Nope. I feel like me and Max spend loads of quality time together and although things are strained not having our own place we are slowly getting there

3. Do you co-sleep?
Nope, whenever we have tried it I end up sleeping on the sofa. More because Max decides to have the whole of the bed!

4. What is your one must-have item for your baby?
Probably a comfort blanket. Nothing beats a kid having a cuddly blanket. Having said that buy about six of them so you don't have a panic when one gets lost.

5. How many kids do you plan on having?
We would love two but financially I don't think it will happen. If so then we are more than happy with just the one. Max will cost us enough in music lessons!

6. Date night? How many nights per month?
Once every few months. We rarely get time off and even then one of us is working an evening. I would love a date night though.

7. Your childs favourite show?
Probably the Aquabats super show. He's obsessed with superheros and this has super hero musicians! Best of both worlds.

8. Name one thing you bought before you had your baby and never ended up using?
Nothing! We actually didn't have much time to prepare for Max so bought things as we went along.

9. Your child’s favourite food?
Probably pears and chocolate. Not together though. He also loves noodles and my pasta bakes.

10. How many cars does your family have?
Just the one, it's beaten and bashed and barely alive but it get's us from A to B

11. Weight gain before pregnancy, during and after and now?
Yep and still losing it now.
12. Dream holiday with your kids?
Disneyland Paris

13. Dream holiday without your kids?
Probably a spa weekend or a boozy weekend in America or something. Something where we can take off our parent hats.

14. How has your life changed since your baby has been born?
I lost friends, gained new ones, gained weight, lost weight, got a new job, graduated, got engaged and am now struggling to find a future for our family!

15. Finish the sentence: ‘It makes my heart melt to see … ‘
The boys playing american football together or performing songs together. Knowing they are sharing passions is amazing (even though it scares me shitless to watch them throw a ball in the house).
16. Where do you shop for your kids?
Tesco, Asda, Next and independent retailers.

17. Favourite makeup and skincare products?
Lush dream cream, Clinique under eye cream and Benefit Fake Up.

18. Huggies or Pampers?
Neither! I am so lucky that Max is potty trained in the day. We still have a night pant on him at night but that's either Tesco or Sainsburys. The branded ones never worked for us.
19. Have you always wanted kids?
Honestly, No. I never imagined I would be a young mum. Heck I never saw myself past university really. I wouldn't have it any other way now though.

20. Best part about being a mum?
The moment when he comes up to you, sits in your lap, gives you a cuddle and a kiss and tells you he loves you. For no reason whatsoever.
