Moors Valley

Last week I headed to Moors Valley for a morning of fun and games with some of my fellow mum bloggers (Jeni, Emma, Amy, Alice and Claire) and all our kids.

Moors Valley is one of our favourite local places it go. It's a country park that is full of play trails, steam trains, play areas and places to explore. It's free to attend, but you must pay for parking. It cost up £8 for 4 hours, which might seem a lot but in reality would have cost us more in town or at a soft play. Whenever we go, we always try and pick something new to do. This time though we stuck to the trusty play trail as we knew all the kids would enjoy it!

We all packed our own picnics and had a great time chatting and catching up along the way whilst the kids raced ahead. It was great to see them all interacting with each other and playing together, despite the age differences.

We all settled down at one of the massive picnic benches that they have to eat. One thing to note is that there are no bins at Moors Valley. Bins tend to overflow quickly (it's a massive park which would take hours for someone to empty the bins) and also attract animals such as flies and foxes, which whilst they are great in our environment, doesn't provide an attractive play space. This means that it's wise to take a carrier bag for rubbish to take home.

We had to leave the other's early as we had work/preschool to go to but we can't wait to go back for another play!
