I am Thankful.

Being thankful for the little things can easily be forgotten in the grand scheme of life. We normally find that in the hustle and bustle of school run's, cleaning and homework we forget about the things we can be grateful for.

I've always wondered what I would say I was thankful for if we had Thanksgiving here in the UK. It's always seemed like a simple celebration, which is no surprise that 1 in 6 households seem to celebrate it. So I've put together a list of things that I'm thankful for.
  • I'm thankful for the mornings where Max creeps into our bed just to give us cuddles and kisses.
With Max getting older I savour these moments as soon enough he's going to be too big to want to hug and kiss me which breaks my heart. He's got such a loving soul and wants to make us and everyone else happy.
  • I'm thankful for movie nights as a family, but also with Scott alone.
We don't have the opportunity to go on many date nights and the cinema is becoming so expensive for us to go out as a family. We try and implement regular movie nights where we get the sofa bed out, bundle blankets and snacks in the room, dim the lights and pop on something that we haven't seen before.
  • I'm thankful for a home that keeps us warm and a roof over our head.
We may not live in a big home, it may not be one that we own but I'm thankful for the fact we have a place to call ours. We might have student debts hanging over our heads and not a lot in the bank but it doesn't mean we can't be happy. We've looked at potentially getting a homeowner's loan but feel that at the moment we are fine trundling along. Someday we will own a property!

Will you be celebrating Thanksgiving this year? If so what will you be thankful for?
