Finding the perfect all round men's jacket can be an impossible task. Not only does it have to feel good, it has to protect you against the elements and looking good is a must! Scott was recently sent an Urban Beach Jacket from House Of Fraser to hopefully fix his problem of not being able to find the perfect jacket. I think we might just have found it!
The first thing Scott commented on when he opened the delivery bag, was how lightweight the jacket felt. For one that promised to not only be waterproof and breathable you would have expected it to be quite a heavy jacket but this is the perfect weight to not only throw on no matter the weather, but also it's not a pain to carry around when our weather finally turns out great!
One thing that Scott is quite conscious of is pockets. You may laugh, but when you have to dash for the school run and take a snack, keys, money and headphones you need ample room. He loves that the pockets are deep enough to cram everything but the kitchen sink in. I also love it as I don't have to put all of his bits and pieces in my handbag.
The jacket is true to size and in Scott's opinion, goes with everything a man will own! The branding is small but stylish and theres some great touches that gives it the feel of a high quality product. It's surprising how warm the jacket is and has proven such when we've been for evening BBQ's and Scott's the only one that hasn't run in for a jumper.
When it comes to waterproofing, it definitely doesn't scrimp on durability. With this turbulent British summer we have been caught short in some flash rainfalls and this has not only kept the rain out, but also kept Scott protected against the harsh sea winds we get on the coast. There's a nifty roll out hood that's tucked behind the collar. With it's peaked brim and flat pack style it means that it can be tucked away easily but also works well in the stormy weather.
In Scott's opinion this jacket ticks all the boxes. Not only is it stylish, it also protects him against the elements and is durable enough that it can last even the longest of school runs.
