We've been to see the Christmas Spectacular over the past few years and have always loved it. It's been full of friends that I remember doing drama with in my youth, so when Max asked if he could audition for a part this year I was honestly so excited. It felt like the next generation was starting to tread the boards and also a tad surreal that he was even old enough to be a part of the show. 

Fortunately he aced the audition and after weeks of rehearsals he was ready to go on stage! This year the show was based around Santa having to pop to help the Easter Bunny. Whilst he was away, his slightly clumsy daughter was left in charge of the workshop. But with many elves not feeling she is up to the role, chaos ensues and soon enough you realise that maybe one elf isn't who he says he is. 

Filled with a mix of classic Christmas songs and big hits such as "I Need A Hero" and "Come Alive" from The Greatest Showman, it was a big show on a small stage. With enough to make everyone from toddlers to elderly smile and dance in their seats, it was the perfect show to leave you feeling festive. 

I've got to give a massive well done to the cast as they honestly put on a high quality show that felt like it was a professional production. From the little ones that were clearly beyond adorable, to the adults who blew me away with their vocal range, it was a show that left me cheering! I even saw it more than once.
