Butlins Ambassadors: Ocean Hotel & It's Facilities

As a Butlins Ambassador for this year we went on a magical trip. One we won't forget in a hurry. We have been to Butlins before in September and loved it, but this trip was something different. We were staying at the other end of the budget spectrum. Experiencing the amazing service from the butlers and the wonderful delights our hotel had to offer!

We stayed in the Ocean Hotel, it's their most premium hotel with a spa, butlers and a designated car park. To say we were impressed was an understatement. We don't really stay in many plush hotels, normally because it's too expensive and we would rather spend our money on excursions. However on this occasions I was so surprised that Butlins could impress us with this space.

The hotel room included a kids room with twin beds, an awesome built in DVD player and wall decals that Max was begging to have for home. Then a bathroom with mood changing lights, waterfall shower and some gorgeous toiletries. Then it led through to the main room. A massive bed with faux leather headboard, mood changing lights, tv, sofa and vanity table with coffee facilities. Opening to a gorgeous balcony with views across the whole of Butlins. We didn't want to go home really!

Once we got ourselves settled we headed down to the ground floor to book our meals with the Butlins Butlers. They are on hand to help with everything from excursions to dinners and will go above and beyond what you expect butlers to do. We decided that we wanted to try and eat in as many places as possible so they helped us by picking suitable times and places for all of us. We also decided to book an extra show and they managed to secure us the tickets immediately without having to worry too much about it selling out. We aren't very demanding people so we didn't use and abuse them but they are so lovely they needed a mention!

We had an evening meal in the Kaleidoscope restaurant, which is based inside the Ocean hotel. This was great as we needed an extra seat at the table which was swiftly taken care of. It's an all you can eat buffet which was great as Max is picky at the best of times and Scott loves variety on his plate. So he got to fill up on yummy curry and roast dinners whilst me and Max tucked into pasta and sausages.

Breakfasts at the Ocean are just as yummy, with a choice of continental or cooked, it's another buffet which allowed us to fill up on food before a big day ensuring that we didn't actually snack much throughout the day at all!

*Note we are Butlins Ambassadors, this was a free holiday in return for my honest reviews.
