We always love trying somewhere different to eat. Which is why we always end up picking quirky looking places. The Loungers is a chain of quirky looking cafe's and restaurants that serve amazing food all over the UK.
There are about 5 in the local area to us and even though you can now call them a chain of eateries they all have a different feel to them. Each one is decked out in 70's wallpaper, mis matched chairs and tables that don't seem to go together to create a home away from home. Boxes of games for the kids and enough space to relax makes this one of our favourite food destinations.
The menus include everything from all day brunch to gorgeous hot dogs and tapas. Something to suit everyones tastes. The children's menu is no different. Things like deconstructed burgers and yummy mac and cheese make sure they are satisfied too. For Father's Day Scott decided to go for the Rhode Island hot dog, full of home cooked chilli and mustard for a bit of a kick. He loved it. I went for something a bit simpler and Max devoured the kid's burger. The kid's food also comes with a free smoothie so you know the kid's are getting one of the five a day.
Freshly squeezed orange juice (you can see the giant juicer working away) and craft beers mean that there is something for everyone on the menu drinks wise and by the end of it we were so full we had to have a bit of a rest.
Of course we had to pick up a dessert though. Scott going for the sticky toffee pudding which was the best he had tasted and Max going for the ice cream sundae which resulted in him licking the bowl. I went for the salted caramel bubble bar, full of chocolate, biscuit and caramel it was a small bar with a big amount of flavour. I had to take some of it home!
