Giraffe Bournemouth Tesco Extra

When I heard that there was a Giraffe restaurant opening at Scott's work I was ridiculously excited. It's one of those places I've been to once and can never find one in the area to go to. Luckily they have been acquired by Tesco and have now opened a chain of their restaurants inside the actual stores so you can have some great food after all that shopping.

When we got there I didn't actually expect to forget that I was at a supermarket. It took me by surprise how light and airy it felt with some great music and a wonderful atmosphere. Me and Max went for some delicious handmade lemonade that wasn't too bitter or sweet. It hit the spot perfectly. Scott went for some coffee, which he said was spot on.

When it came to mains Scott and Max both had burgers. Both of which inhaled them. Scott said his was one of the best he had eaten in a long time and the sweet potato fries were to die for. Max had wedges on the side and while they were nice it wasn't presented very well. I went for the chicken and cheese quesadillas which were amazing. So tasty and I could have eaten more if it were not for the fact we had dessert to come.

Dessert took a while as there were a few teething problems, but my god were they great. Scott had a chocolate brownie whilst Max opted for some strawberry ice cream. I on the other hand went for the chocolate mousse which was so good that I wanted to take a tub away with me.

If you can get past the fact that this great restaurant is in a supermarket I would 100% recommend it. Such a great place to go with affordable food and drinks. Might even pop there for a cheeky cocktail with Scott after a shift.
