Top Festive Shows in Bournemouth and Poole

We are huge theatre fans! If we can see a show then we will be there. From musicals to serious plays, anything will drag us to the theatre. Christmas is one of the most fun times in the theatre calendar as it's pantomime time! The time where the whole family can go, where you're encouraged to laugh, sing and shout along with the show.

With an amazing host of theatres in the Bournemouth and Poole area, I wanted to showcase some of the ones I am most excited about this year so you and your family can book and enjoy as much as we will.

Choose Kind With Wonder

I remember when I started working at Waterstones and found out I could read advance copies of books. The first one that caught my eye was a book dotted with illustrations of a face with one eye that just said the words wonder on. Being a massive kids book lover, I picked it up and I'll always remember how powerful that book was. It's one that I handsold each week until the day I left.

October Reads - The Roanoke Girls

With longer nights drawing in, I feel like my reading mojo has picked up a bit. It's that or I've spent too long in a bookstore this past month and I've fallen back into my old Waterstones ways! Last month I decided to go through my books and purge some of them. With Christmas around the corner, I like to do a big declutter and the books always seem to be the first to go. I'm not sentimental so I pass them onto friends, hospitals and charity shops. What it does mean is that I find hidden gems that I have bought and forgotten about.

The second of our reviews is of the Roto Revolution that has been released just in time for Christmas. With the opportunity for more action and adventure, Max couldn't wait to get stuck into the set.
