The Goblet Of Fire at WB Studio Tour

We have been to the Warner Bros Studio Tour several times over the year and each time we go it seems to get more and more magical. Harry Potter is one of those classic things that we as a family can't seem to get enough of. So when we were invited down to experience their new Goblet of Fire additions, we couldn't Apparate there fast enough!

Join Us At Camp Bestival 2018!

Festival season is here! I honestly can't wait to get stuck into the camping, music and fun that comes with heading to a festival. The first one on our list this year is Camp Bestival. Nestled in the grounds of Lulworth Castle in Dorset, this festival is almost like a home away from home for us. Last year we braved the rain and mud to have one of the best festival experiences of the year. It didn't matter that we were up to our knees, it was full of fun and surprises at every corner.

Taking Max On The Processions March

As soon as the email for the Processions march dropped into my inbox, I knew that I needed to be there. I also knew that I wanted to take Max with me to show him how fantastic a march could be. So on Sunday 10th June along with 50,000 other people, we took to the streets of London for a march that we would never forget.

May Book Round Up

I have to put my hands up and say my reading in May was shocking. I don't know if it was the fact I had a bit of a whirlwind month, or I was stressed about big changes that were happening within our family unit. But I just found it really hard to sit down and read a book and instead opted to read things on my Kindle, which really surprised me. I'm glad to say I've turned that around for June already. But here's the round up of things that I read in May.

Meet the Fairy Penguins at Weymouth Sea Life.

Max is OBSESSED with penguins. From reading Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers to death when he was younger, to sitting and researching them now. His uncle is currently in Australia, so once he found out they had their own native penguins, that was next on his list. Lucky for him (and me!) we didn't actually have to go very far to see them as one of our favourite places, Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park had just taken the only colony of fairy penguins in Europe under their wing.

Little Fires Everywhere - Celeste Ng Review

I have to say that Mumsnet are absolutely smashing it with their book club choices each month. Each of the books have either been ones that I had heard loads about or ones that were out of my comfort zone, but had a great blurb. Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng is one of those books that I had heard so much about, I was a tad apprehensive about reading. Not because it had bad reviews, perhaps the opposite, so many good things were said about it that it's almost hard to believe it can be such a brilliant read.
