I think that everyone can agree on one thing. 2019 was a year. It was a year of even bigger changes for our family, but in all the good ways that have enabled us to move forward and fully embrace life with open arms. 

2019 definitely brought its challenges. With the two of us juggling full time jobs, I can definitely say I had moments where I sat there questioning my own sanity. But here we are, a few days until the start of a new decade and into my 10th year of blogging. And my goodness it's been one hell of a ride.

14th December - 5th January 2020

We all know the much loved tale of Peter Pan. The boy that never grows up and flies the Darling children to Neverland for adventures on land and sea. But you have never seen the story told quite like it was tonight on the stage at the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton. For whilst it told the tale of the much loved children's character, there was a whole lot more laughter and excitement to be had on this quiet night in Southampton.

7th December- 5th January 2020

Take a journey on a magic carpet ride as Aladdin flies into Bournemouth Pavilion and is unlike any pantomime you have seen before. Heading to a pantomime at Christmas is a total tradition for most families, including mine and I have to say it's been a long time since we went to the Bournemouth Pavilion to see what they had to offer. 

With a good line up including Amelia Lily (from The X-Factor and many touring musicals including American Idiot and Shrek) and TV legend Richard Blackwood, it was set to be a fun filled night as we watch the story of Aladdin and his wish to find his true love Princess Jasmine unfold.

This year I've really struggled to get into the festive spirit. I think the lack of working in retail and being all consumed in working in education means that I can't fully embrace all that is Santa and Co yet as my to-do list is so long! So when the fantastic folks over at the Mayflower Theatre, Southampton invited Max and I to see Nativity the Musical I hoped and prayed that it would give me that festive feeling. And I'm going to spoil it for you now, it 100% left me ready and raring for Christmas!
