Family Shows at Portsmouth Theatre's 2021

 Portsmouth is a wonderful city full of brilliant theatre's. With two amazing places to choose from, the classic Kings Theatre and the brilliant New Theatre Royal, you are truly spoilt for choice with what to watch. There is something that is perfect for the whole family to enjoy, and here are 5 of the shows that I think you must watch now their doors are open wide. 

Fireman Sam Live - 22nd August - Kings Theatre - He's on his way to save the day! Time for that Fireman we all know and love to take to the stage of Portsmouth and show the locals what the Pontypandy fire crew can do to save the day!

Illusion : Impossible - 8th September - Kings Theatre - Featuring five of the best illusion acts, this breathtaking show will allow audiences to be amazed and stunned by these incredible talents all on one stage together. It's a show that will have adults and kids alike left with jaws on the floor and wondering just how they pulled it off. 

Horrible Histories - 3rd October - New Theatre Royal - Meet the Gorgeous Georgians and the Vile Victorians in this horribly hilarious retelling of those dead icons including Admiral Nelson, Florence Nightingale and Queen Victoria. Based off the books and TV series of the same name, this is sure to be a hit for those slightly older kids that love to hear the bloody truth!

The Play That Goes Wrong - 12th-17th October - Kings Theatre - If you are looking for a show that will leave you laughing so much your belly hurts then this is the one for you. The show is based around a fictitious theatre group who are trying to put on a play, only things don't quite go to plan and the fallout with shock you in more ways than one. Perfect for slightly older kids, this play is perfect to watch and one that will sell out for sure.

Dragons & Mythical Beasts - 5th-7th November - New Theatre Royal - Calling all brave heroes! This interactive show will bring puppets and mythical creatures to life to amaze and astound the audiences. From the creators of Dinosaur World Live, it's time to meet the unicorns, trolls and the deathly dragon.
