Prezzo La Famiglia- The Perfect Family Meal

We love eating meals out, there's something different and special about eating in a restaurant. Not only do you get to leave the washing up, you have that time as a family to sit down, relax and chat. We tend to unplug and leave our phones in our bags, chat and reconnect as a family.

One problem we tend to find when eating out is that meal sizes are normally all over the place. Scott can eat more than me, Max tends to pick and choose how much he wants and we are normally left with eating each others meals. Prezzo have created a dish for moments like this. The La Famiglia.

Tasting The Real Greek - Review

As most of you know, I am a sucker for a good meal. So when The Real Greek invited me to the opening of their restaurant in the BH2 complex, I couldn't wait. The Real Greek is situated on the edge of the complex and features a fantastic Taratsa (terrace dining) that overlooks the Bournemouth gardens.

Christchurch Food Festival 2017

We are really fortunate to live in a place that has so many things going on. This weekend was the Christchurch Food Festival. Christchurch is about 15 minute drive away from us and one of our favourite places to go in the summer, mainly because it's so beautiful. The food festival has been running for 18 years and is one of the towns yearly highlights.

April Reads: Countless

April was a month full of YA books. I managed to read 6 books, with 5 of them being YA titles and one being a thriller that didn't thrill me at all. It was a real mix of star ratings, with some being as low as two whilst others were up at 5. I really love the system that I am using to track my reading, it means that I can see where I need to challenge myself and what my go to favourites are. I also find that I read a large portion of advance proof copies, so by tracking the books I can easily recommend them when they are released at work.

Rent Musical Review - Lighthouse Poole

I have been a huge fan of the musical Rent for as long as I can remember. From singing "Seasons Of Love" with my drama friends as a teenager, to watching the film adaptation obsessively and learning every single word to "La Vie Boheme", I was obsessed. And when I found out that it had closed in the West End 10 years ago and I would probably never get the chance to watch it, I was gutted. That was until summer last year when I saw that there would be a 10th anniversary performance in London. The tickets were booked before I could even tell my friend we were going.

And no later than I had booked the first set of tickets, I found out they were going to take it on tour and it would be coming to my favourite local theatre, the Lighthouse, Poole. Of course I jumped at the opportunity to take my mum and introduce her to one of my favourite musicals of all.

Teddy Rocks Festival 2017

We are a festival family. We love nothing more than immersing ourselves into the arts in one way or another, music especially. So when we got an invite at the start of last week to Teddy Rocks, we couldn't say yes quick enough.

Set in the heart of Dorset outside Blandford Forum, Teddy Rocks has grown from a gig at a pub to a three day festival with camping on a farm in a matter of years. What sets this festival apart from others is that it's all for charity to help fight children's cancer. With each year, the money raised getting more and more. It's amazing to see how much music lovers can come together for a worthy cause.
