Max is absolutely obsessed with trains. From playing with them at home to waving at them whenever they pass, he can't get enough! We were invited to head to the Watercress Line over the Halloween weekend to celebrate their Wizard Weekend. Let's just say we were spellbound by the fun we had!

An Interview With Hannah Begbie
Monday, 29 October 2018
When I worked as a bookseller, my favourite thing was when authors would come into our store. Not only so I could meet them and get my book signed, but also so I could ask them those questions that I had been dying to ask. From plot twists to why they wrote their book, the whole process interests me completely!
So when I had the opportunity to interview Hannah Begbie, author of the latest Mumsnet book club book Mother, I jumped at the chance. It took me so long to whittle down my questions and I can honestly say that I loved reading Hannah's answers. She's definitely inspired me to pick up the pen and start writing again.

Ascarium at Weymouth Sea Life
Friday, 26 October 2018
As Weymouth Sea Life ambassadors we are absolutely loving popping down most weekends to see our favourite sea creatures and get our Sea Life fun on. But when half term hit, we couldn't wait to pop down for their Ascarium event. So with Max and Rubi in tow, we drove down early and raced to see what was in store.

5 Car Care Tips For Any Drivers
Wednesday, 17 October 2018
I’ve previously spoken about how whilst I love driving, I’m not great with taking care of my car. Not only is it a permanent dumping ground for a 7 year old, but it’s also the idea of running out in the cold before a journey to give it a once over is the last thing I think about. But with research showing that neglecting basic car care means you will pay more in the long run when it comes to repairs, it’s something that I definitely need to think about.
With October being National Car Care Month, here are 5 car care tips that any driver can get behind to ensure that they are safe on the road.
Geomag Mechanics Gravity Motor Review
Saturday, 13 October 2018
Max is obsessed with building things and seeing how things work. He likes nothing better than sitting and finding out how things have a chain reaction and anything STEM related. So when Geomag got in touch with us to tell us that they had a new range out called Mechanics, we couldn't wait to give it a try.
When the Geomag Mechanics Gravity Motor turned up, it was a race to see who could get to the box first! And let me tell you, it was worth the race as it's fantastic.

Creating a Newsletter with Campaign Monitor
Thursday, 11 October 2018
A newsletter is something that I have been toying with for quite a while now. Not just to keep others updated on what is going on with my blog. But to also share things that I am loving from others, things that perhaps I don't want to write about on the blog but want to mention, and also things that are coming up that people can look out for. But I've always wondered how to make the stand out.
We all know that there are some basic free packages out there but when trying to make a newsletter or campaign you need to stand out from the crowd. That's where Campaign Monitor comes into it's element and it's made me rather excited!

Wicked Review - Mayflower Southampton
Friday, 5 October 2018
Wicked is one of those musicals that has been woven into my life. I can attach most of the songs to memories in my life and it's one I will never of tire listening to again and again. Whilst it's still riding high in the West End of London after over a decade of treading the boards at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, it's recently been making it's way around the country on tour and has finally arrived in Southampton at the Mayflower Theatre. I was kindly invited along to see if I would be defying gravity and loving this popular musical.

How To Spot An Alien - Roundabout Festival
Thursday, 4 October 2018
Every year the fantastic Paines Plough bring their Roundabout theatre to my local area. It's an inflatable theatre that puts on engaging plays for adults and children. The plays are always some of our favourite that we go and see throughout the year and we are full of excitement when we see that massive yellow theatre in the distance.
This year the Roundabout Festival headed to it's new location outside Pavilion Dance South West as part of the Arts By The Sea celebrations. Still in conjunction with The Lighthouse, we got our tickets for How To Spot An Alien and couldn't wait to see what we had in store!

Mother - Hannah Begbie Review
Monday, 1 October 2018
When I was told that this month's Mumsnet Book of the Month was going to be Mother by Hannah Begbie I was quite excited. For it was a book that I had started tentatively and cast aside to read something else. It was one that had been on my to be read pile since I grabbed it at the HarperCollins Big Book event in May, and it was one I raced to finish.
