Getting Ready For Summer Festivals

This summer we are off to a fair few festivals. With Camp Bestival to kick off and Victorious to end. Over the years I have worked out that overpacking for a festival is a massive no-no. With tonnes to carry, I seemed to have worked out a refined list of must have items that I can take to any festival.

I thought I would share some of my favourites with you to give you some inspiration and help you fill your rucksack for a day at a festival!

Getting Your Car Prepared For Summer

With the summer holidays in planning mode, I'm thinking more and more about the trips we are going to take and how to best prepare for them. As most of our days out are going to be UK based, I'm planning the best driving routes and getting my car ready for distance driving. Here are my top tips for ensuring your road safety this summer.

Summer Events at Wyevale Garden Centres

Finding cheap things to keep the kids amused with in the summer holidays can be a real headache. It either costs a bomb, involves copious amounts of technology or leaves your house looking like a bomb site. That's where Wyevale Garden Centre comes into play with their Summer Holiday Events. We were kindly invited to attend one of their crafting events and their afternoon tea at one of our local centres to get out of the bad weather and have some fun.

Summer Bucket List 2017

Today marks the last day of Max being in year 1, which means it's the start of the school holidays! This summer we are trying to cram in as much as we can. Scott is going to be working pretty much full time, leaving me and Max to tick things off our summer bucket list.

I love to sit down with him just before the summer holidays starts and pick his brains about little and small things that he wants to do in the summer. I'm quite sneaky in the sense that I've not told him half the things we have planned, but with him knowing it normally means he asks when we are going constantly.
